Matilda The Musical

Matilda the Musical is a musical play adopted from a child’s novel with the same title as written by Ronald Dahl. The musical was written by Dennis Kelly and all the songs were written by musical comedian Tim Minchin. The musical was first produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and had its first performance in Stratford. It did run for about twelve weeks in Stratford. That was from November 2010 to January 2011. Matilda the musical was to later have its premiere at Cambridge Theatre on November 24th 2011. Matilda the musical has been successful in so many different levels thus making it one of the best performances from British in the world of Broadway. It has won a number of awards amongst them a whooping seven Oliver Awards for different categories. It therefore holds the record for the most won awards by one specific show. This year it did win the Best New Musical award.
